R n' R...Wherever We Can Get It!

Life on the road is not just fun and games, sometimes it can be exhausting.  When you are on the road, a quick nap between shows can be very necessary; and you have to be creative.  In what follows, we display some of our favourite...

Exploring Rural Manitoba

We have had a great time exploring rural Manitoba this week.  We have done shows in Morden, St. Malo, Altona, and Sprague.

Two wonderful nights were spent at Linda and Peter Elias' incredible, Country Relax'n Bed & Breakfast in Roseau River.

Linda is an incredible cook and kept us well fed, providing breakfast AND dinner!

Starter - Salad
Skor Cake
It was hard to leave; especially since arriving at home meant cooking for ourselves again!

Wednesday morning we hit the road to Sprague and had a great show with the K-8 students at Ross L. Gray School.  A big shout out to the Life Skills class who made us a delicious snack for our ride home.

Even though parts of the drive back to Winnipeg were bright and sunny, the blowing snow made the driving conditions a little less than ideal.

This photo and video montage is called...

Where on the blustery winter road is Tristan?

We took it slow and steady and arrived home safe and sound!

And We're Off!

On Sunday our crew hit the road to Morden.

Tristan had a fantastic view from his hotel room of the sunset...and hay bail.

On the way to dinner we had a dance party in the car.

Snooky Bunny and Kosmo-robo-tron made us feel right at home in our "Super 8" home away from home.

We enjoyed playing a round of Apples to Apples before bed.

But some of us were just too tired to play.

Here are the results after an intense game of Apples to Apples.  They say the cards you win in the game best describe you!

Can you guess which company member belongs to which cards?

Math + HeART

Farley is apprehensive over her classes' art project...

But finds solace in a joke.

Why was the math book so sad?

Because it had so many problems.

Monday Mascots

When Heather and I toured together last winter in Prairie Theatre Exchange's Magical Mystery Munsch, we started a tradition with our company called "Monday Mascots".  Monday Mascots features the touring company posing with the various school mascots that we encounter on our journey.
Heather continued the tradition on her last tour, Manitoba Theatre for Young People's, Dying to be Thin.
